No registrations will be accepted the day of training. \nScroll down to view pricing. \n  \nOverview & Course Description \nThis course has been approved by the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology. \nHair removal and Photofacial treatments are always in highest demand in both the spa and medical cosmetic industries. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is considered the best alternative to laser hair removal. This light therapy is quickly growing in popularity thanks to its proven fast results at affordable prices. In this treatment\, a focused pulsing light is skillfully applied to the surface of the skin. The light travels down the hair shaft to the root. At this point\, the IPL reacts with the hair and skin’s melanin\, causing a scientific light to heat energy conversion that vaporizes the hair and its root\, and often destroys the hair follicle. The heat generated from an IPL treatment does not damage the epidermis in any way. In fact\, IPL is often used to clear up and heal a variety of skin conditions. \nPhotofacial is a way to improve the color and texture of skin without surgery. It can undo some of the visible damage caused by sun exposure — called photoaging. Clients typically notice this in the form of red\, brown or splotchy skin presenting mostly on face\, neck\, hands\, or chest. \nIPL is ideal for fine lines and wrinkles\, hyperpigmentation\, redness or rosacea and unwanted hair. Since results can last up to a year or more\, many clients desiring younger looking\, smoother skin are requesting IPL. \nThis 30-hour training program combines didactic lecture and extensive practical hands-on experience with emphasis on safety and efficacy. By the end of this course\, attendees will have built a solid foundation of theory and practical knowledge for performing hair removal and photofacials.
